It's like forgetting the words to your favorite song
You can't believe it; you were always singing along
-------------------------------------------------------------
Day 31. Yep, that's Sean Paul. Saw him in Sacramento last summer at a bar. My friends and I ... we're ballers. It would be so much more believable if we actually planned it and if he was still cool. :oP

Thursday, April 29, 2010

I get hungry for love and thirsty for life
And much too full on the pain
When I look to the sky to help me
And sometimes it looks like rain
-----------------------------------------
Day 30. I had dinner with an extended family of sorts tonight. I don't get how anyone could prefer eating alone over sharing a meal with friends and family. I just feed off of other's energy, and that alone can make a bad day so much better. We're all different though, and that's what makes the world go round.

Wednesday, April 28, 2010

Play on cause you're gonna make mistakes
It's always worth the sacrifice
Even when you think you're wrong
-----------------------------------------
Day 29. As Becca said to me earlier, "today is just kind of a bummery day." I couldn't have said it better myself. There's only room for improvement tomorrow.

Tuesday, April 27, 2010

Well I hope you don't mind if I fall asleep on your shoulder
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 28.

Monday, April 26, 2010

Squeeze her, don't tease her, never leave her
Get to her got got got to try a little tenderness
-------------------------------------------------------
Day 27. Bridge and I had an 80s movie marathon that consisted of "Pretty in Pink." We only got through one movie before we got tired and she had to go home. This may or may not have happened because we talked a bunch after dinner. Who knows? I would have had awesome hair if I was a teenager in the 80s. I've got that kind of hair that frizzes easily and can hold some major hairspray.

Sunday, April 25, 2010

Well if you are what you eat
In my case I'll be sweet
So come and get some
--------------
Day 26. I'm going to make dinner for tonight. Wish me luck!

Saturday, April 24, 2010

1, 2 can't nobody hold me
3, 4 drop it to the floor
5, 6 make your body twist
Let it go like this
---------------------
Day 25. Happy Little 5 weekend, Hoosiers! Hope B-Town is treating you well on this weekend to which all weekends are compared. Don't let the rain get you down. I'm hoping to actually make it to the race someday.

Friday, April 23, 2010

Yet, I'm better near to you
--------------------------------
Day 24. My wonderful friends light up my life. Thanks. :o)

Thursday, April 22, 2010

I've been standin' here waitin' Mister Postman
So patiently
For just a card, or just a letter
Sayin' he's returnin' home to me
---------------------------------------
Day 23. My vacation is also coming soon. I just need to remember that. Just because I'm not on vacation, doesn't mean I'm not going on a fabulous one soon enough. It'll be here before I know it. Multiple ones, in fact. Today's public service announcement on this Earth Day: don't be lazy, keep recycling. Also, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Appreciate what you have, who you're around, and where you are at this very moment.

Wednesday, April 21, 2010

And when melodies are gone
In you I hear a song
I look to you
----------------
Day 22. I got my hair cut today, and my hair lady decided to test out a bridesmaid hair do on me (since I mentioned I'll be in a wedding here soon). It's big. It doesn't look bad though, just not used to it. Normally, if it's this big it's all frizz. :oP I took a picture, but I doubt you'll ever see it.

Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Wake up everyone
How can you sleep at a time like this
Unless the dreamer is the real you
Listen to your voice
The one that tells you to taste past the tip of your tongue
Leap and the net will appear
--------------
Day 21. I think it's funny how much more productive I am at home after going to bed an hour earlier the night before. It's nutty.

Monday, April 19, 2010

Further more I'm cornier than ethanol
Cheesier than provolone
I'm awesome!!!
-------------------
Day 20. Boys, that song's dedicated to you.

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Keep on with the force don't stop
Don't stop til you get enough
------------------------------------
Day 19. My little buddies at church all looked so spiffy today for First Communion. What was even better was seeing their faces as they tasted the wine, ha! I also went up to Purdue today for Rachel & David's engagement session, part two. I haven't looked at them yet, but I saw it all first hand (and they were really cute). We pigged out at ... hmm ... Boiler Market? I don't remember the name. Tasty food though. I need to stay at home for a few days this week to get my house back in order!

Saturday, April 17, 2010

We are not frightened anymore
We stood up, we stood up
And there are two of us, there will be more
They'll show up, they'll show up, they'll show up
---------------------------------------------------------
Day 18. Mom & I did Race For the Cure this morning. It was so fun to be around such energetic people so early in the morning. Let me be more detailed...I walked with 42,000 people this morning. It was cool to walk down the middle of Washington Street (by the zoo) with a ton of people...not exactly something we can do every day.

Friday, April 16, 2010

Ready for those flashing lights
----
Day 17. Girls Night Out was a success! We found out that Scholars Inn is CLOSING the Mass Ave. location. I'm not very happy about it, but I guess that'll force me to actually visit the Bloomington restaurant (I've already been to the bakehouse). Stupid bad economy. On a lighter note, I had awesome pizza @ Bazbeaux and a (literally) sweeeet Razzmatazz cupcake @ The Flying Cupcake. It was nice to hang out with all of my girlfriends. I didn't realize there were so many of us!

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Yeah, yeah well you're just a mess
You do all this big talking
So now let's see you walk it
I said let's see you walk it
------------
Day 16. My bridesmaid dress actually fits! One more round with the alteration lady and it'll be tres bien. It was quite the sight when I could fit my entire arm in the chesty area. I don't think all the silicone in the world would have filled out that dress...legal levels, anyway.

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Do you remember the time
When we first met
-----------------------
Day 15. It's awesome when your director at work buys your lunch at Scotty's. Too bad that's only happened twice in 2 1/2 years. But really, that's 2 more times than most people get a free lunch. Either way, I'm very satisfied with the amount of time I got to spend outside today. Looking forward to Friday night!

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Yeah, never thought I'd be on a boat
It's a big blue watery road
Poseidon, look at me
--------------------------
Day 14. I had my first Make-A-Wish committee meeting today, and it was good. I really felt like the new kid that transfers mid-semester before I got there. Everyone is super sweet, and it'll be fun to run an event with this group.

Monday, April 12, 2010

Well sometimes the sun shines on
Other people's houses and not mine
Some days the clouds paint the sky all gray
And it takes away my summertime
Somehow the sun keeps shining upon you
While I struggle to get mine
If there's a light in everybody
Send out your ray of sunshine
------------------------------------
Day 13. It's Monday, but it's a gorgeous Monday. :o)

Sunday, April 11, 2010

You've got me feelin' hella good
So let's just keep on dancing
-------------------------------------
Day 12. Bloomington is awesome year-round. I love spring/summer/fall and all the warm weather it brings to our fair state.

Saturday, April 10, 2010

I just can't stop loving you
And if I stop
Then tell me just what
Will I do
-----------------------------
Day 11. I finally saw "This Is It." I really wish that would have all come to fruition, because it would have been a spectacular event. The film elements alone were crazy awesome. Michael Jackson kicked some butt even though he was 50 and in who knows how much pain. He did all of the dance moves like it was just second nature. Check it out, if you haven't already. Off to take Jessie's engagement pictures downtown!

Friday, April 9, 2010

If I don't say this now I will surely break
As I'm leaving the one I want to take
--------------------------------------------
Day 10 - double digits...ooooh yeeeeeah. Yeah, I know I'm a dork.
Happy Friday!

Thursday, April 8, 2010

Summer nights
Everybody's feeling sexy
Holler if you're ready
For some summer nights
------------------------------
Day 9. Today was "Brie & Cierra's late 90s pop recap" day. It was unplanned, and totally awesome. Do you know how ridiculously crazy the hair and clothing were back then? That was 10 years ago. You probably look ridiculous to your +10 year old self right now. Oh well, haha. Let's see, we had Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Britney, Christina, and the Spice Girls (of course). Did we forget anyone?

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

I'm telling you
Just watch your mouth
I know your game
What you're about
---------------------------------------
Day 8! My new red tulips are blooming, I have a bunch of good food in my bell-ay, two of my oldest friends are (finally!!!) engaged, and I'm going to see one of my best friends this weekend! Life is good.

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

And then I close my eyes and one more time
We're spinnin' around and you're holdin' on tightly
The words came out, I kissed your mouth
No Fourth of July has ever burned so brightly
-------------------------------------------------------
Day 7! We're having some gorgeous weather here today. I loooove it! I loved having the windows down in my car, too, until I closed the sunroof and my hair got caught in it, haha. I freed my strands, no scissors necessary. I also really love seeing the beautiful magnolia trees bloom. I have one right outside of my office and another next door to my house. They're so pretty, but they never survive the spring storms. Speaking of storms, we're getting some rain tomorrow. I get to wear my rain boots, yes!
P.S. If you haven't already, listen to Keith Urban - "'Til Summer Comes Around." It's good.

Monday, April 5, 2010

Mmm whatcha say
Mmm that you only meant well
Well of course you did
---------------------------
Day 6! I have squishy shoes now, thanks to the crazy rain we got this afternoon. I was a little sad I didn't have a camera to capture the hippie lady run across the parking lots barefoot to reach her car. Goooooo Butler! Having the final game on a Monday is not very intelligent in my opinion. Oh well, life goes on.

Sunday, April 4, 2010

Sweet pea
Apple of my eye
-------------------
Day 5! Happy Easter! Hung out at Broad Ripple Tavern with Kennedy, JJ, and B.Marx last night. We celebrated Butler's victory over Michigan State with a few laughs and drinks. Not too fun getting up this morning, but it's Easter, so it was worth it!

Saturday, April 3, 2010

Look into your heart and you'll find love, love, love, love
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Day 4! I went to Jungle Jim's today, and it was just as amazing as the first trip. I did some wine tasting, and bought a bottle. I also got some fresh pico de gallo, garlic spread (it's amazing on hot bread...mmmm), and part of a wedding present for someone very special. We also got some Ting for Ginger. Do you know what Ting is? Don't cheat and google it. :oP

Friday, April 2, 2010

You are the best thing that ever happened to me
---------------------------------------------------------
Day 3!
I'm pumped for Easter, chocolate candy, trip to Jungle Jim's (it's a grocery store - google it), and potentially a reunion with some of my most favorite Rose men. It shall be a fabulous weekend, especially if the warm weather continues on its current path.

Thursday, April 1, 2010

Ladies it ain't easy bein' independent
---------------------------------------------
Day 2!
For Holy Thursday, I attended mass @ St. John's downtown. We then had dinner (pizza, chips, & brownies = win!) and loaded all 35+ of the young adults onto the big yellow school bus. We visited the alter of repose at 7 different Catholic churches: St. John, Sacred Heart, Holy Cross, Holy Rosary, St. Patrick, Ss. Peter & Paul, & St. Mary. It was SO COOL to not only finally make it to each of these beautiful churches, but to be there with little to no crowd. I was in Sacred Heart (one of the most amazing churches) with only a few lights on and almost complete silence. Talk about breathtaking. I'm so glad BK and I did this! Something to add to your bucket list, should you have one. :o)
