Off work at 2:30 PM?  Yes, please and thank you!  Got a lot of things accomplished and am now ready to continue the trend throughout the weekend. :)

Day 593

Today was very weird.  I was in a TV commercial, had a so-so afternoon, then had a really good chat with BK about prayer.  I'm not sure what my final verdict is of the day as a whole, but keeping in mind that I'm finally getting some (home) work done, I'll call it a positive day.

Day 469

Today, I'm thankful for rest.  So many people are working 2 and 3 jobs just to pay the bills.  I'm thankful that I can almost always get a good night's rest. 


It's a crazy world out there, and I hate that my little social butterfly personality clams up and hides whenever asked out on a date.  This. Is. Ridiculous!  Why am I not fearless when it comes to this?  What am I so afraid of?!  Argh...

Day 467

Today, I'm thankful for childlike enthusiasm.  Vacation Bible School is this week, and the kids are just so cute, so excited, and are having so much fun!  


I think I could be a travel coordinator for people.  I've been searching for flights for two different trips, and I think I know all the ins and outs there are to know.

Day 451

Pro-Life Breakfast today, woo hoo!  Watched "Dinner for Schmucks" and "HP and the Deathly Hallows Part I" this weekend.  The first, not so great.  The second, great, but dark.  I need a home theater, people!  Ok, or maybe I'll just try and see these movies while they're still in the movie theater.

Went to see "Bridesmaids" today and had lunch with a friend at the oh-so-yummy McAlistair's Deli.  Finished up the day with some work clothes shopping ... and then fell asleep early. :oP

Ryne and I saw "The Last Lions" at the Keystone Art Cinema last night.  We laughed, I almost cried, and we smiled when the cute little cubs were on the screen.  You should definitely check it out, even if only to see the sweet shots of Botswana and Africa as a whole from space!

Day 330

I went to Hooters for the first time tonight, even though I stayed at the Hooters hotel while in Vegas a few years ago.  Kind of strange.  Also, weird that the girls' outfits are stuck in the 1980s.

Day 222.  Daylight savings time has kicked in, and now I want to go to sleep way earlier than before.  This is really only concerning since I have a TON of bulbs and plants to get in the ground before it's sub zero outside.  Might be a little problematic if it's dark outside when I get home from work!  Yikes.

Day 205.  Tonight, Ryne & I headed down to Bloomington to see the lovely Ingrid Michaelson in concert again.  She puts on a really good show, and we both like her music.  We ate giant pancakes at the Village Deli, had drinks at Sports (we were the first ones in there at 9:00ish!), and then crossed the street to the concert at the Bluebird.  We had an awesome night!

Day 109. Editing, editing, editing! However, before all of that started I got to have lunch at Bub's. The burgers are really, really good. It was interesting that it's in the Carmel Arts & Design District, since I've been wanting to check out that area. I didn't get to go shopping/window shopping, but at least I now know what it looks like!

This was a wonderful, exhausting weekend. Jason Mraz's "Beautiful Mess - Live on Earth" CD = great. I highly recommend it, and I haven't even listened to the whole thing yet. I think it's funny that California and Texas have had snow (or talk of it at least) and here in good ol' Indiana we're snow free. It's the way to be. I did just waterproof my boots though, so I'm good to go. Tried out 3 new recipes this weekend and my new (totally awesome) professional food coloring paste. Lovely results across the board.

Simple things in life:

• There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. I'm just feeling funky this week, stressed out and bummed out. I'm ready for it to be over. It's summer, it's warm, and I have so many things to be thankful for. I just need to snap out of it somehow.
• Chocolate chip banana muffins (from scratch). Well, we'll see if they're any good (they're baking now).
