Day 575

My last day of unemployed freedom.  It's a bittersweet day, haha.  I'm excited to rejoin the masses of the employed, but I'll miss getting out of bed when the sun is up and doing whatever I want all day.  :-P  Change is terrifying (for me at least), but I also know that it's good for me.  Change is what is going to mold me into a better person.  Change is what is going to bring new people into my life.  Change is going to (hopefully) bring a lot of happiness into my life.

I'm photographing the Roncalli vs. Cathedral game tonight from the sidelines ... say "hello" if you'll be there, too!

Day 572

I have a second interview tomorrow for a job I would LOVE to have, yay!  I made my very first apple pie yesterday (bought the crust though) and it was really good!  Success!  I'm getting really pumped for Halloween and a whole night to hang out with friends.  Life is good. :)

Something I need to remember: How to be (less) Awkward: If someone keeps trying to walk out of your life, stop holding the door shut and begging for them to stay. Let them go. (Smart Pretty & Awkward)

I declare today to be "Take a Nap Day," so go ahead and make yourself relax.  I'm sure you deserve it.  After my nap, I'm going to make a bunch of cookies! :)

Despite the disaster last weekend, I still really want to go to the Indiana State Fair.  In case you know me well, yes, it has almost everything to do with the deep fried cookie dough.  :oP

Day 498

I'm going to my very first Symphony on the Prairie concert tonight, woo hoo!  It's on my goal list for the year, so I'm happy to check that off tonight.  I've always been intrigued when I hear about it from other people or on the radio.  I don't even know a lot of The Beatles' music, but it doesn't even matter!  Hoping the gorgeous weather continues on throughout the evening hours!

Day 368

Yay, Butler!  I've never been so excited to watch a game! :)

I find it very frustrating to try and watch a VHS tape in my combo DVD/VCR/TV.  It just spits it back out and turns the TV off.  How am I supposed to watch classics like "The American President," "Superstar," "Sister Act 2," and "Pretty Woman" if I don't have a properly functioning VCR?  I know what you're thinking, "get them on DVD."  Well, unless you're going to pay for that, I'll just have to deal with it. :oP

DAY 365!!!!

WOO HOO!  Happy 1st (full year) anniversary to my little blog!  I celebrated by having dinner with some lovely lady co-workers/friends.  Ok, we got together just to have girls' night, not for my blog's birthday.  :-P  We did have fun, though.  We drank Oliver hard apple cider and strawberry pina coladas while eating our partially gluten-free Mexican dinner.  We polished off some Edy's strawberry popsicles while playing an intense (ha!) game of Scrabble.

Do me a favor and let me know if you're reading my blog.  I'm interested to see if I have any readers after 365 days.

Day 354

Time sure files when I'm having fun. :)  After 2 1/2 days, I did 32 pages!  Included in that is my entire St. Lucia trip album.  I'm pretty pleased considering I'd only set a goal of 22 pages!  I hope the trend of happiness continues on throughout this week (especially tomorrow)!

I crossed another goal off of my list tonight.  I wanted to visit a new (to me) winery.  Chateau Thomas is so close, it's kind of silly that I've never been there.  Ryne and I each tasted 5 different wines, and actually agreed on one to buy!  Woo hoo!

I'm ready for a cruise.  Anyone want to go with me?  Requirement: must be somewhere far, far away from snow!

Day 234

I had a great party tonight!  I love having everyone over.  It really is just a great excuse for me to do the following: learn how to make new dishes, wear random outfits (I always have a theme), clean the house, and see my friends.  We also christened my newly remodeled fire pit.  It's totally rad.  :o)

Day 229.  Have you ever had a day where you wake up with really achy muscles?  That was this morning.  I'm still sore in the back and arm region, but otherwise I'm a-ok.  Trying to get my house ready for this weekend's partaaaay.  :)

Day 202.  Ryne's back today, yay!!!  I've always thought having a photo shoot at the airport during sunset would be incredible.  It would probably involve breaking a few laws though, hmm... ;o)

Day 199.  I did some gardening, pie creation, and editing today.  Very, very random...but does that really surprise anyone?

Day 153.  I am so slow when it comes to grocery shopping.  I probably stood there in the aisle for 5 minutes trying to choose a salsa, and then again when trying to pick a pasta sauce.  Don't go shopping when you're hungry, it makes everything go slower.  The good news is that I got "The Backup Plan" from redbox, and I was entertained.
P.S. I l-o-v-e this picture!  It reminds me of how blessed I was to go on such a fabulous vacation with my friends.

Day 152.  You should pay attention to the box when it says that drowsiness may occur.  It happens.  It took me awhile to figure out why I was so sluggish today ... then the light bulb lit up.
