Day 882

It's always amazing to me how a day can start out feeling pretty normal, go up, down, around, and (seemingly) every direction.  The ending hours have been awesome.  Festival set up is happening all week, so I took my little munchkins for a spin on the golf cart so they could check out the rides not visible from grandma and grandpa's house (2 doors from church).  I got lots of hugs. :) Ending the day making some cookie dough truffles.  Hopefully I can finish them tonight for us to enjoy at work tomorrow!

P.S. Are they not the cutest little creatures?!  I completely adore them.

Day 849

Tonight was the last night of VBS, and Tyler was there filling in for his dad in the kitchen (making really good little pizzas).  I'm so happy to report that he has decided to quit smoking!  Now, I realize that just because they quit for now doesn't mean it'll stick.  I think there are some other drivers fueling him to stick with it this time and I'm thrilled.  Seeing my grandma sick and in the hospital makes me so sad, since it's all caused by cigarette addiction.  Seeing a friend decide to stop sucking on the cancer sticks is beyond amazing!

I have a huge wedding hangover today.  No alcohol involved.  One session this afternoon and then I'm taking a NAP! :)

I'm still processing, thinking, and other -ing words.  Perhaps I'll have more to say later about yesterday's events.  Not now though!

Day 488

Dealing with someone who is an emotional roller coaster (1000x worse than me on my worst day) is draining.  I said all of the right things (in my opinion); I was honest, polite, calm.  Why did I feel bad?  This makes no sense!  Why did this person get to me, and worse yet, in my head?  Hopefully after today, it won't bother me anymore.  This is day has been so bizarre. :\  Looking forward to meeting a man that will love and appreciate me without any sort of anger, hostility, or guilt involved.

Today, I'm thankful for time with my grandpa.  Sometimes I forget that not everyone has the luxury of Saturday breakfasts and seeing your grandpa as often as you see your parents. 


Getting silent auction donation request letters signed, sealed, and (ready to be) delivered for our church festival in August.  We need donations!

Day 289

I feel sorry for people that don't have a nearby Steak N Shake.  It's just awesome. :)
