Day 960

My super awesome, crazy kind, fun, generous, and warm dad is 50 today!  Time flies.  I feel so blessed to have him in my life!

Day 706

I'm telling you, Bridget leaves town and EVERYONE starts going nuts!  I can't get into it all, but it's pretty much all drama by proxy (as Nathan says).  I'm going to need the rest of you to keep it together, because the drama department has met its quota for the year!  Yikes!  Today was especially strange, and it all started with me discovering that I had a flat tire immediately after leaving my driveway (in the rain).  Lucky for me, Grandpa let me use his car so I could get to work.  (Also lucky for me) I'm blessed to have a swell dad and uncle who change the aforementioned tire in the dark for me.  I'm glad I got to stay for my workout tonight ... it's one of the few good things about today.  I'm too tired to worry or fight the lovely endorphins!

Day 330

I went to Hooters for the first time tonight, even though I stayed at the Hooters hotel while in Vegas a few years ago.  Kind of strange.  Also, weird that the girls' outfits are stuck in the 1980s.

Day 201.  Today's kind of yucky, gray, and cold.  It's hard to believe at this time yesterday, it was sunny, warm, and bright (in the colorful sense).  My front porch is kind of sticking out.  (If you don't know what that means, just ask.)

Day 195.  Wearing leggings in October makes me very happy.  How much longer I can continue this trend I do not know... *sigh*

Day 193.  I did maternity shoot #2 today, and it was a hot one!  I think it was about 85 degrees here today, which is definitely not the norm.  I like the heat though, but feel bad for pregnant mommas who are trying to keep their cool in pictures.  I'm so tired from this weekend, but am going to have to find my second wind.  I'm going to the Guster concert tonight, so I need to be awake for it!  Wish me luck...

Day 192.  Today, I did my very first maternity session!  Woo hoo!  I think it went well. :o) Later in the day, I received some VERY happy news from a friend.  I spent most of the afternoon/evening with one of my favorite couples, shooting their engagement pictures in Blooooomington!  Ah, it was a warm, gorgeous fall day.  I loved it!

Fall Foliage

I love fall, don't you too? Well, my good friend Stephanie and I did our first official photoshoot together last Sunday. We went to Butler University's beautiful campus to photograph our friends, Laura & Mark. Stephanie took most of the pictures, while I posed the newlyweds. We both took the originals and edited them, knowing that we use different software and would end up with different looks. I think we got a few that are really awesome. Stephanie's version of the shoot can be found here.

I'm really glad Steph and I are working together now with this whole photography thing. I think it's the beginning of a beautiful business. I'll let you know when we're completely official and actually have business cards and a website and all that jazz.

First of all, I have to share a link: http://www.lightworksstudios.com/ It's my friend Eric's photography and you might recognize a few faces in the portrait section.

I like to look at http://www.deviantart.com/ when I need some inspiration or fresh perspective. It's pretty cool to see what other people come up with. Some of it is completely insane, but some of it is really, really good. Recently I was browsing and found these photos that caught my eye. "Best Wishes" - "Starfish" - "Missing You" - "Different from the others" - "Leaf"

There are thousands more on there that I could show you...but that would take weeks.

Not much else going on right now. I'm trying to save up for a camera of my own which means I have to work more than I can play. However, when I do finally have the opportunity to purchase said (amazing, super, fantastic) camera, there will be pictures on here all the time. Really, you'll be so sick of it.

Go out and take some late summer/early fall pictures! The leaves and green will be gone before we know it!
