I appreciate vintage style, photography, travel, fresh flowers, and the art of baking.

Day 323
As I mentioned before, I made soup for the first time. I'd been craving Chicken Tortilla soup for awhile (they have it at work, get me hooked, then never serve it again). I figured it was time I tried my hand at making it myself, and here are the photos from my little experiment. I'm calling it that since it didn't really taste anything like the kind I'm used to, and well, needs work. It was definitely worth making and eating, but just needs more ... oomph. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! :)

I have a crock pot recipe that is super easy since it just cooks all day and you don't have to mess with it much. It calls for beans, which I'm not sure if you like. We eat it with Fritos and sour cream on top (healthy, right?). Yours looks yummy, too!
Yeah this could have gone on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours (I did 3 hours). I think it'd be better with chicken broth and less chicken (I did more than what the recipe called for). Also, getting some sour cream and fritos would be good, I bet! I forgot that when I went to the store. Thanks for the suggestions!
