Happy Halloween!  I came over to my parents' house to help pass out candy, but they've only had 9 trick or treaters.  The cold is really keeping people in this year.  Boo!

Ella (at work) let me borrow a headband for my costume.  Can't wait to figure it all out and put it together for Friday's party!

It's really cold, wet, and windy here.

I can't imagine being on the east coast dealing with Hurricane Sandy.  Hope all of your friends and family (and probably some business contacts) are all safe!

I'm addicted to Gossip Girl.  It's so ridiculous.  I've been this way since it premiered in college!  Good thing it's the last season so I don't have to be addicted much longer. :-P

The last few Sundays I've felt super sick, so I've been amazed at how much I've been able to get done since I'm not sleeping or in bed all afternoon!

Today was my cousin Corinne's wedding day!  It was a beautiful rustic country wedding full of family and plenty of tears from 95% of the guests.  We had a blast!

I'm pumped for my upcoming arts & crafts day with the ladies.  This might be a little overly ambitious, but I want to make a canvas for my bedroom (one of those paintings that you cover in sticker letters and then repaint then remove aforementioned stickers).  I'd also like to make something to spruce up my grandma's new place.  It needs some color.  I'm thinking about a wreath (all seasons) or something similar to make her door (inside to hallway) look a little more welcoming to the nurses and aids.  Any ideas?  I've never made a wreath before, so it should be interesting - and hopefully not a hot mess!

I really like this song and keep picking it whenever I open iTunes.

Day 939

I don't understand what women with hips did before skipping the pantyhose became socially acceptable.  Sitting makes you feel like a fat stuffed sausage.  It's not super fun.  I only wore them to dull the blinding light that radiates off of my pale legs.  Note: they were black.  I'm so anti-skin colored pantyhose since I'm not (literally) an 85 year old grandma.  Don't you ever wear pantyhose with open-toed shoes.  Don't do it!  (Why am I ranting about pantyhose?!)

I made a chocolate chip cookie pie tonight for work tomorrow.  You have no idea how hard it is to resist taking a bite!  That's the thing about pies, you can't cover up a taste test.

On a completely different note, have you heard this Maroon 5 song?  Every single time it comes up, I think of "Pretty Woman."

I'm get-tin a smartphone, y'allllll!  I got it for 99 ceeeeeents.  I'm pretty sure I spent too much time at the AT&T store and have now somehow convinced half of my brain that I can pull of a semi-ghetto southern accent.  Don't worry, I know I can't.

I went to a fun cookout and met lots of fun people.  S'mores and hot dogs by the fire, mmm mmm!  Oh, and hide and seek in the dark is hilarious with two little girls that shriek and giggle when playing - or should I say taunting - the other team.

I had my hair dyed today and looooooove it!  I'm calling the color brown cherry (because it's not black!).

Did you know that Gavin DeGraw has an album called "Free"?  I didn't!  I just got it on iTunes.  It's so new (to me) that I don't even have a favorite to share with you yet.

Off work today and half of tomorrow, so I'm trying to get a lot done and enjoy the nice weather while it lasts! :)

I don't know if there's a better feeling than coming home and wrapping myself in a warm blanket.  It's the best when it's cold outside!

I went up to Shipshewana for my first big group tour - woo hoo!  Everything went well and it didn't rain on us.  We gorged ourselves at lunch at the Blue Gate Restaurant on meatloaf, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, chicken dressing, fresh green beans, fresh Amish bread, homemade apple butter, homemade Amish peanut butter (a.k.a. liquid fudge), and (naturally) piiiiiiie.  I opted for the chocolate cream, as did my grandpa.  The red raspberry and cherry also looked awesome.  Needless to say, I am exhausted after our 13+ hour day.

The Cheesecake Factory continues to impress me, this time with their lemon drop martini and skinnylicious chopped salad.  Mmm, mmm, good!

I booked my flights to Austin today, YES!  I can't wait to visit Becca & Lance; it's been too long!

Seriously addicted to the 50 Shades of Grey series.  Halfway through the third book and quite unsure what the heck I'll read once I've completed it!

Good things to report:

• I had a good workout.
• I was able to eat more than 1 piece of pizza today, woo hoo!  In fact, it was better (for me) than pizza - even better.
• I figured out what I'm going to (attempt to) be for Halloween.
• I'm only working a half day later this week! :)
