Well, today wasn't the happiest of days.  Work wasn't the best, but then I went to the St. Susanna festival to check it out and see Fr. Glenn.  All of that was fun, and it was good to see our old priest.  However, on our way home, my great aunt calls me looking for Grandpa.  My Great Aunt Tootie is about to pass away.  Now, she's had bone marrow cancer for a long time, she's 87, and well, you'd think we'd all be prepared.  Well, we hurried up to get there, but she had already passed on.  She was right in the middle of a Reds game, too.  (She LOVED baseball!)

I'm comforted to know that she's up in heaven, looking down on us with a smile and living in a painless world.  She's up there with her husband (he died back in 1985), my great grandparents (her parents), and countless friends and family.  I'll always remember visiting her in Florida with her house smelling like Entenmann's coffee cake and playing on the organ.  She was a wonderful woman, and definitely one of my favorite relatives.  Rest in peace, Aunt Tootie.

Day 818

After a long, fun, awesomely relaxing trip, I arrived home and got into bed at 5:00 AM.  Ouch!  Work really wasn't too bad though, surprisingly.  I called it my "fifth wind" by the end of the day.  :oP

Day 814

Strawberry Bruschetta, pool time, reception liquor run, pizza party, and "Bridesmaids."  This is what I call a vacation!

Day 622

I've been on a bit of a baking roll over the past few weeks...and I'm enjoying it.  The only problem is that I must test, test, and test again that the aforementioned baked good(s) are edible.  I need to start workin' on my fitness.  I'm seriously going to go jump on my elliptical for a little bit.  Here I go!

Today, like any day, has the potential to be awesome, terrible, or somewhere in between.  I'm really hoping for awesome!  It'd be a great way to kick off the long weekend. :)

Day 475

I spent the whole day at the beach!  It was marvelous!  Even with SPF 50 on, my pale Irish skin still got some color.  I was jumping the waves with the boys and Emily ... we all had a great day! :D

Today, I'm thankful for a safe and a fast trip home (since there were 3 girls chatting in the car).  


I have an interview on Friday, woo hoo!  Hopefully it'll be a good fit and will have what I'm looking for. :)

Day 354

Time sure files when I'm having fun. :)  After 2 1/2 days, I did 32 pages!  Included in that is my entire St. Lucia trip album.  I'm pretty pleased considering I'd only set a goal of 22 pages!  I hope the trend of happiness continues on throughout this week (especially tomorrow)!

Day 346

Shopping + nice weather + bridal shower for a great friend = pretty good day.  Hope I get to have another great day tomorrow!

Day 345

Mom and I watched "You Again" tonight, and it was pretty good.

Thinking and praying for all of the people in Japan.  I can't even imagine what it must have been like to be there, feeling the earthquake for 5 minutes straight.  Then, on top of that, watching the water roll in and just destroy everything.  God be with them, all of the victims, their families, and friends.  I also hope that once it hits the west coast of North America (and any other islands in between) that there aren't any causalities.  Dave and Teresa are in Hawaii, and they're safe (at least they were this morning).  Hope it stays that way!

Day 156.  Kings of Leon, VIP parking AND VIP seats.  What. A. Night!  I had a great time!  They melted my face with their awesomeness.  Can't wait for the new album to drop here in a few weeks!

Day 126.  You know what I had for dinner?  You don't know, so stop guessing!  I had Mother Bear's pizza  for dinner!  It's from Saturday night, and I don't even care.  It's still delicious.  No one does BBQ chicken pizza better than them.  Mmm, mmm good.  My San Diego trip is sneaking up on me!  It's next week, ahhh!  I'm so pumped!  Planning and paying for a vacation months in advance is the best thing I do for myself.
