Day 729

I woke up far too early this morning and went to Louisville with my mom and some of her friends for CKC (a scrapbooking thing).  I spent too much on really awesome and unique products (okay, really wasn't too much) that I'm excited to start using.  I figured I'd go to see if it could somehow inspire me to get busy on catching up on my photos/scrapbooks.  I still have some loose photos from high school.  Yikes!

Oh, and for dinner, we went to J.T. Johnson's close to Southport Road & 65.  It was pretty good, and I think it's safe for me to recommend to anyone that's in the area and looking for a new(ish) restaurant.

Somehow, even though I'm physically tired, I'm wide awake.  Wish I could sleep like Miss Eliana (above).

Day 728

I had so much fun tonight at Joey and Stephanie's bonfire!  Good friends, a few rounds of flippy cup, and plenty of laughs.  Definitely thankful for little reminders of how blessed I am. :)

Day 727

I had a good workout today, and am fully alert even at almost 9:00 at night.  I like this. :)

Day 726

When it comes to dating, I feel conflicted.  I feel like, for me at least, it's a constant struggle: fun, feminine, nice, and sweet versus some sort of independent warrior princess who has to act like she doesn't need a man, can do it all on her own, all without breaking a sweat.  Which one is it?  The first gets me ... nowhere, really.  It just makes me a nice person who has time to bake and smile a lot.  The other makes me out to be some sort of intimidating person who acts like she doesn't need a man, so I'm somehow uninteresting.  It's all very confusing, to be honest.  I'm guessing in 50 years it'll all make sense, and I'm pretty sure I'm over-thinking it all.  I just have trouble letting it all go since I'd like to be married and potentially have a family sometime in the next decade.  Yes, I know, God has a plan for me.  Impatience gets the best of me ... more often than I'd like to admit.  Rant over, now back to your local programming...

P.S. I'm looking forward to working out tomorrow.  I know, what parallel universe have we entered into? :)

Day 725

So, my allergies have fledged a full on attack on me today.  I felt like a zombie for most of the day, despite my new bottle of "non-drowsy" allergy medicine.  I don't even want to think about what's to come this summer ... the grass, pollen, dust, and 1,001 other things are going to kill me.  Yet, it's my favorite time of year.  Yes, it's true, my cup is always half full. :oP

Does anyone else have this song stuck in their head?

Day 724

My second exercise class of the day was yoga flow, and it was goood.  I think we convinced our instructor that he needs to make that a regular Monday night class, and I think he will.  Woo hoo!

Oh, and BK used her best friend powers to persuade me into joining her on Match.  We'll see where this goes...

Day 723

I went on a hike today with Bridget and Kloey the dog.  She was so well behaved, and kept us going at a pretty steady pace.  I like this whole borrowing a dog business. :)

Day 722

I had so much fun at Kilroy's with B. Marx, Emilie, and Kenny.  A random group of friends, but it was great for conversation.  The tots were tasty, and I have a ton of leftovers.  Kenny and I went to Claddagh afterwards to do more catching up.  We're going to be neighbors soon, woo hoo!

Day 721

A few comments about today...

• Having someone walk in and just flip out on you for no reason apparently leaves my face red and me almost in tears.  I didn't know how to react!  It really felt like she was a women off of her meds.  Scary!
• I love going out to dinner with friends.  One. Three. Twenty.  Doesn't matter!
• Apparently, I know how to find the gay guys, but they're disguised as the guys I'm attracted to.  Lame x 10.  Seriously annoying. 
• I went on a 10 minute date with a guy named Ryan.  I spun the "Wheel of Men" and got the cutest guy.  Yay for me.  He was back on the wheel 20 minutes later to go on another "date," so I'm not getting too excited about it all.  
• The thunder is so loud around my house that the glasses in the cabinet are rattling.  Per the "1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, ....) rule, it's still 5+ miles away.  
• The Hoosiers need to kick it up a notch in the second half!
• It's been a very strange day, but not necessarily bad.  Positive note: I'm really excited I get to sleep soon and that it's the weeeeeeeeeeekend! :)  

Day 720

Wowza, I had a good, but tough, workout tonight.  I'm mentally awake, but physically drained.  It's a weird feeling for me (this whole working out thing), but I'm really starting to like it.  Since it's on a schedule, it's really easy for me to plan ahead and make sure I can get myself there.  Cheers to better health!
