Day 851

Today, I went up to Lafayette with my "other parents" and Alex to see our friend, Zach.  His mom passed away this week after a 13 year battle with cancer.  As I only met her once, I didn't know her.  However, after a beautiful mass with music and so many kind, sincere words, I know she made a difference in this world even though she was taken up after only 53 years.  I hate feeling so powerless when seeing my friend hurting so deeply.  I'm glad that Andy was able to fly in and just be there for him all weekend.  I just want to wrap him up in bubble wrap to protect him, but we can't do that.  Actually, he'd probably like that since he's a goofball.  I suppose that's why Zach, Andy, and I are all friends - we're all goofballs.  

Please keep my Aunt Tootie and Patsy (Zach's mom) in your prayers.  While you're at it, please say one for my grandma, too.  She's in the hospital recovering from some lung issues.  Hopefully, she'll be back to "normal" and able to go home soon.
