Day 769

Kicked butt by pulling (2) 5 gallon buckets of weeds out of the flower bed that spans the front of the house (read: TEN GALLONS of weeds are gone!).  I'm proud of myself, haha.  Excited for Friday!  Yes, I immediately thought of this.  Did you, too?

In preparation for tonight's coffee date with new guy #2, I wish that dates were more like dinner with an old friend.  I don't get nervous, we already have loads to talk about, and I have more fun.  I'll keep all that in mind when I enter into a parallel universe where pigs fly and other crazy things happen.  Hope you have a good day/night!

Day 766

I had a few moments of bliss today during my yoga session.  My highly attractive fitness instructor and fellow exercise mates were all relaxed, a Jason Mraz song came on, and it was just so peaceful.  :)

Day 765

Enjoyed a day AND night full of friends, smiles, good food, and great conversations.  Days like these make me appreciate life so much.  :)

Day 764

Not to worry, in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, I swapped out my usual martini for a strawberry daiquiri.  Kenny and I had a good time at dinner tonight.  I was checking out our waiter, and he was checking out a waitress.  I predict On the Border will be our new hangout spot. :oP

Off work at 2:30 PM?  Yes, please and thank you!  Got a lot of things accomplished and am now ready to continue the trend throughout the weekend. :)

Day 762

Since we're (finally) enjoying some warm spring weather. I opened my windows to let the breeze in!  I'm just sitting here, and I realized how grateful I am to be in May 2012 versus May 2011.  I have a great job that is not only manageable, but allows me to be creative, have some fun, and not work like a mad woman.  I'm so happy to come home and have dinner at a normal hour, have a social life, and have time to do just this ... blog.  I'm just happy to be where I am, at least in the professional sense. :)

P.S. In the past, I had "Tulip Watch" and probably some other equally silly "watches."  Well, prepare yourself, because soon we'll be on "Chick Watch" and "Plant Watch."  My aunt's baby chicks are growing up quickly, so I took a few glamor shots of them this evening.  I just planted a ton of seeds today, so we'll see how quickly they grow.  I'm sure you're just on the edge of your seat in anticipation!

Day 761

I had a really great afternoon in Bloomington with my co-friend, Deb (co-worker + friend = co-friend).  After the senior expo, we were treated to lunch at Scholars Inn Bakehouse by our boss.  Then, we went shopping (but didn't buy anything :/)!  If that wasn't enough, I arrived home early and then went out to dinner with three lovely ladies for Cierra's birthday dinner.  I'm going to (hopefully) sleep really well tonight.

As if it wasn't already obvious, I'm loving this weather!  I might get my weeds pulled and mail order plants in the ground this week/weekend after all! :)
