Day 922

Sick all day.  I'm OVER taking medication every day.  It's dumb.  I don't know how the elderly and chronically ill do it.  Hopefully, this round will be over here in a few days and I can return to blissful freedom (of drugs).

I ate a lot of food today at my dad's company picnic and also found this sweet little cover.  I need to google the band to see where they're from; I can't place their accent and it's driving me nuts!

Day 916

I was having a rough end to last week + weekend in the realm of emotions.  Prayers were answered and spirits were lifted.  I think I just needed a good meal (haven't had much of an appetite lately), a really hard workout, and to just get things done at work (you know, accomplish something).  Hopefully the trend will continue tomorrow!

Day 915

I got to spend the day with a whole slew of ladies and Caaaaamden.  He's so precious.  Jackie's bridal shower was fun and full of good food.  The Stephanies & Co. did an excellent job (as always).  I unexpectedly stayed for a movie and extra play time with the man of the 1st floor (Chris was downstairs).  I also got to play with baby Ellie for awhile, too.  It was a good weekend for baby hugs!

Day 914

I got to watch "The Princess Bride" on the floor of the social hall at church with a bunch of kids and used sleeping bags as blankets (full of popcorn by the end).  A fun mess!

Day 913

Sassy Explorers' first event ever tonight - Bloomington Progressive Dinner - was a big success!  Yay!  :)

Blue Bell Southern Blackberry Cobbler ice cream.  Eat it and be happy.  :)

One of the girls in my group exercise class said this tonight, leaving us all laughing: "I'm too sexy to go to jail."

I'm completely addicted to the "Fifty Shades of Grey" series, FYI.  It's unbelievably well written and just a refreshingly different kind of story than what I'm used to reading.  I just started the second book!  We were talking about the casting for the movie at work: Ryan Gosling for Christian and Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) as Ana.  Ahh!

Day 910

Finally, I got to try out The Ball & Biscuit on Mass Ave.  I had a drink that I'm pretty sure contained basil and some citrus action.  It was good!  Really cool atmosphere - go when you can. :)

Day 909

Well, despite the fact that I was ready for this week, today did not turn out as expected.  It involved a hospital + people having surgery + nursing home visit.  Just a weird day.  I made a run to the ER this morning; I'll live.  (I can tell you're very concerned.)  BK's mom had surgery today, and as far as I know, all went as well as it could have.  Tonight, we went to visit my grandma at the nursing home to chat about independent living options.  See?  Super weird Monday.  Let's hope the week only gets better from here.  I have a good feeling it will ... starting with tomorrow night. :)

Happy Birthday, my dearest Bridget!  We had a nice little dinner in Greenwood tonight to celebrate the occasion.  Lucky for her, it wasn't a stand up and sing to you kind of joint.  :)

I had breakfast with some super cute babies and their mommies today.  Steph N., Rachel, Eliana, Steph M., Camden, and I all met up for some cheerios and strawberries.  No, actually, that was Cam's breakfast that he devoured before moving on to his second course of what big kids eat.  He's getting so big!  Eliana's getting tall and just loves to show off her 6 teeth.  After breakfast, we headed to the playground at St. Roch, which wasn't as big of a hit as the new fountain/water feature!  I love these kids and the snuggle time I receive! :)

Day 899

Oh, what a fun night with the ladies!  Since the clouds didn't part and the sun didn't shine on us this evening, RaeAnn, Cierra, Stephanie N. and I decided to just go to Naked Tchopstix (my first time) for dinner and a round of (really tasty) lemon drop martinis.  After dinner, we headed to Cooper's Hawk so two of our four ladies could pick up their wine of the month club bottles.  We decided to stay for a tasting, then ended up in the bar eating pretzel bread and making Steph N. drink a French martini in celebration of her birthday (Sunday).  Fun night!

Day 898

I now know what it must feel like to get punched in the face!  I made it through work, but I'm really not functioning at 100% ... but really, am I ever? ;)  Oddly enough, I'm also using a loaner car from the dealership, so I'm just experiencing all kinds of weird things this week.  I'm driving my (realistic) dream car, people!

Day 897

I paid some guy big money to poke and prod my gums with needles today.  At least he used cherry numbing gel and wore clean gloves.

Day 896

Sometimes, your gut feeling is right on the money and the guy you didn't want to go out with truly is a guy you shouldn't have gone out with.  Oh well, the date only wasted 45 minutes of my time.  Yeah, you read it right, our date was a whopping 45 minutes in length.  Moving on!

I slept INNNNN today!  I guess I was worn out from the concert and standing out in the rain.  Laundry, laundry, laundry and not much else was done today.  I've started watching "Parenthood" and it's a pretty good series.

Day 894

Carolina Liar + The Fray + Kelly Clarkson = one awesome concert.  Despite the pouring rain, we had a really fun time.  The blanket I brought weighed about 70 pounds by the end (soaking wet), so we attempted to wring it out before heading back to the car.  Even then, it took two of us to carry it out.  A random trip to Cierra's house followed! :)

Day 893

Since a portion of my job involves promoting travel for ladies, I got to participate in the 2nd annual Indianapolis Women's Half Marathon & 5K today (we were corporate sponsors).  I got up at the crack of dawn and walked all over downtown.  It was amazing to see the runners!  They're in amazing shape, and just go go go.  I found it particularly interesting that we each received a long-stemmed rose, medal, fruit, and chocolate milk upon completion.  Fun {sweaty} times! :)
