You know what makes me happy?  For one thing, McAlistair's sweet tea.  Secondly, hanging out with BK.  She did this personality assessment thing on me today, and she pretty much had me pegged before I even answered the first question.  Ha!  I love my best friend.  :)

...and just like that, I feel better.  I'm not sure if it was the hot chocolate maker that Ella brought into work today, the chocolate chip cookies I made last night for Tyler's birthday, or the conversations I had today.  Either way, my weekend is off to a better start for it, and for that I am grateful.  Granted, I'm not off to sunny, warm, gorgeous Florida like Dan, but I do have two days to do whatever I want.  Woo hoo!

I've been way off my game at work for the last two days, and I'm hoping that this little thing is over as the weekend approaches.  Life has been throwing me all kinds of interesting situations lately, and I'm trying to be grateful for the good and get over/fix/deal with the weird ones.

P.S. Ingrid Michaelson's new album is aweeeeesome.  That's one of the good things life has given me this week.  I'm pretty sure Gavin DeGraw's album will be good, too, but I can't tear my ears away from Ingrid.

P.S. Can we go on vacation soon, friends?  The Florida trip seems so far away.

Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) is right!  I've been eating terribly today, but I'll have 40+ days of health to make up for it.  Mmm, caaaaake.

Hormones + (negative) realizations = a weird day.  On a positive note (there must always be a positive note), work was busy and thus went by quickly.  Oh, and I had a (another) slice of heavenly 3 layered chocolate cake.  Deeeelicious!

The only thing that can motivate me to get off of the couch and keep me from having a TV marathon is shopping.  Oh la la, it was fun.  I didn't really buy much, so don't point your finger(s) at me. :oP

Dan took me to Binkley's last night, and it was sooo gooood!  I'd been there a few times before, and really like it.  We got to sit by the fireplace and shared the pesto tortellini and the chicken florentine pizza - yum!  Plenty of leftovers to take in each of our lunches.  Oh, and I'm off today since I pulled a 10 hour shift at Expo on Saturday.  Woo hoo!  I hope you're having a great day, and coming down gently from your sugar high.  :)

We had an aweeeeesome turnout for today's AAA Vacation Planning Expo in Carmel.  Last year, it was smaller, and they had about 500 people there.  This year - close to 3800!  YEAH!  I gave a lot of brochures away, so hopefully it'll result in a lot of seats sold on my group travel getaways.  After, I went to The Brockway Pub with friends for a going away party.  A wonderful British man and his little family are moving down south to Charleston.  I'll miss hearing him talk in his American accent.  It's so funny!

I'm so tired, and yet here I am.  I need to blog to kind of finish out my day.  Weird?  Probably.  After setting up for tomorrow's AAA Vacation Planning Expo up in Carmel,  I met up with Cierra for an impromptu dinner at Panera and shopping trip to Plato's Closet.  I only bought ONE thing.  Ugh.  Working all day tomorrow ... yaaaa...aaay. :/

Did I tell you, I get to be the tour director for 13/15 of the trips this year?!  Oh, and since I planned them, I'm pretty pumped about going! YAY!  I'm going to be BFFs with so many 65-75 year olds.  I can already feel it. ;)

Apparently, funky things are going on with my neck/spine region, so I'm going to get that fixed.  If I didn't, I'd be a hot mess as I get older ... so I'm saving myself some pain.  Let's hope it works!  Did I mention that it involves getting a massage three times a week?  #WINNING.

Day 672 - Our Super Bowl Village Saga

Tonight, I went to Super Bowl Village with Bridget, Dan, and Jim.  We had dinner at the City Market, which was busy, but not crowded.  After finishing our tasty meal, we headed to Monument Circle to get the necessary photos with the GIANT Super Bowl Roman numerals.  While heading to Georgia Street (the epicenter of action), we ran into Jim's brother and then found his sister, too.  How fun!  After making it to Georgia Street, the boys had to make a pit stop.  Bridget and I were going to meet them under a sign to give them a marker of where we'd be, but had to move since things were getting really, really crowded.  Then we lost them.  The cell phone towers were overloaded, so you couldn't make calls.  It was insane!  So, Bridget and I did our own thing.  We headed down to St. John's to see what they were doing there.  We chatted with Fr. Rick and saw the cut outs of the nun, priest, and Pope that you could put your face in for a photo.  We saw the zipline in action, then headed toward the Verizon stage to see LMFAO.  Then, things started getting crazy.  We ran into friends Jon and Stephen, then moved forward to try and get closer to the Verizon stage for the LMFAO concert that was starting.  It was like being born again - we were so slammed up against each other!  Thank goodness BK and I don't care about personal space or holding hands to stay together.  We'd have lost each other for sure, which would have sent both of us into a state of panic.  I'm happy to say that even after another big attempt to meet up with the boys (and failing), we both made it out alive.  Victory!

After my group exercise class entitled "Heavy Legs" I'm left feeling like I'm walking with rubbery, wet noodles.  It's weird!  Going Downtown tomorrow to experience Super Bowl Village ... everyone says it's a "must see."  We'll see...

I rearranged my living room today to prepare for my schmancy wine and cheese party.  :)  Oh, and I got another massage ... yay!  Today's comment was, "feels like you have a few rocks in your neck."  Yep, that sounds about right.
